Laser engraving is an exciting area. We can laser engrave graphics, text and photos on many different materials, even ones we can't laser cut. We even have the capability of Laser Marking on metal now. The laser has an 8" clearance under the head,
so we can engrave on boxes, large slabs of wood and 3D things.
We just need to have a relatively flat surface, although we have put
photos on baseballs. These are just some of the many ideas of things to laser engrave:
Some Examples of Finished Products Click on any photo above for a larger view How to get Laser Engraving done
1) First we need some artwork to laser engrave. If you have already prepared the design, attach the file and e-mail it to us at: phil at bclaserworks.com. We can easily use .dxf or .cdr files, because I use Corel Draw, but we can open others as well. Sometimes it works well to send two or three different file types if you are not using common graphics software. If you want a photo laser engraved see below under laser photo engraving. We can do the artwork for your for laser engraved signs, logos, awards, products or whatever. This usually comes with an hourly rate of $35 p/h unless the quantity is large enough or the order will be an ongoing thing. Specify what material we are to use and if we are providing it
or you are. Of course if you are providing the material
to be laser engraved, you must send it to:
BC LaserWorks 2) Next we will give you a price, so you know how much to borrow and can refinance your house or sell your kids. 3) Then you give us the go ahead by going to PAYMENT and use our PayPal account. They will notify us right of way of this. 4) We will laser engrave the item(s) and send them to the address that you provide. 5) Last, but not least, tell all your friends and acquaintances about our laser service and how wonderful it truly is. That is if it truly was good, otherwise be real quiet. Laser Photo Engraving For photo engraving, if you can send us a large format, (1280x960) or bigger, digital picture (.jpeg or .tiff) or a high resolution .bmp that would be great, but we will try anything and can tell before we make the cut if it will work or not. You can send us a floppy, CD or e-mail a .jpeg file. A good ol' picture or snapshot will work, also. Be sure the image to be engraved has a clear outline and that it's fairly large. For example, if you take a snapshot of your kids, make their image the largest thing in the photo and a good contrast with the background, so we can crop the picture once we scan it into the computer. If you use a studio picture, be sure you have permission. Go to Information and look under the appropriate material for info on Photo engraving. |
